The Hindu Days to go book is a simple book that shows the days to go for important festivals and holidays that are coming up in the month. There is a mantra section which has a mantra for the day and users can chant the mantra once or thrice to start their day.
There is also a simple exercise section which will have a chakra sound to chant or a mudra pose to practice for a minute daily. This will give an ideal start to your day and thus will bring positive results in your life.
Users can also write the days to go for their personal events or tasks like birthdays, anniversaries, games, events, exams and appointments in the days to go section.
The following mantras are covered in the book:
1 ) Deity Salutations
2 ) Guru Mantra
3 ) Gayathri Mantra
4 ) Vishnu Mantra
5 ) Hare Krishna Mantra
6 ) Maha Mrithunjaya Mantra
7 ) Navagraha Mantra and
8 ) Pavamana mantra
Users can adopt Anjali mudra ( Prayer pose by keeping hands in front of chest ) while chanting the mantra.
The next section has the following Chakra sounds:
1 ) Lam – Mooladhara
2 ) Vam – Swadhisthana
3 ) Ram – Manipura
4 ) Yam - Anahata
5 ) Ham - Vishudhi
6 ) Om – Ajna and Sahasra
Users can touch the tip of their thumb with the tip of their index finger to form Gyan Mudra while chanting the Chakra sound for a few seconds. After that sit quietly and focus on breathing for sometime. Then stretch the feet to end the exercise.
The simple exercise also has the following mudra poses:
1 ) Gyan mudra – Touch the tip of the thumb with the tip of the index finger for sometime
2 ) Aakash mudra - Touch the tip of the thumb with the tip of the middle finger for sometime
3 ) Prithvi mudra - Touch the tip of the thumb with the tip of the ring finger for sometime
4 ) Varun mudra - Touch the tip of the thumb with the tip of the little finger for sometime
Hold the mudra pose and chant the Om sound for sometime. Then stretch the feet to end the exercise.
Each day one chakra sound or mudra pose is covered so that all the chakra sounds and mudra poses can be covered in a few days. These simple exercises will make a big difference to our mental and physical health.
There is also a simple exercise section at the end of the book which has a physical exercise and a breathing exercise for every day of the week. Users can do the physical exercise for a minute and then do the breathing exercise for a minute. Every day, one breathing exercise can be done.
The list of all the breathing exercises are as follows:
1 ) Breath in slowly and breath out slowly
2 ) Hold your breath for sometime
3 ) Left nostril breathing for some time and then Right nostril breathing for some time
4 ) Alternate nostril breathing can be done by breathing in through left nostril and then breath out through right nostril, then breath in through right nostril and breath out through left nostril. Repeat a few rounds
5 ) Sit straight and motionless and focus on breathing
The list of physical exercises are:
1 ) Feet stretch
2 ) Palm stretch
3 ) Rotate eyes
4 ) Rotate head
5 ) Rotate shoulders
6 ) Raise hands above head
7 ) Bend front and rise
8 ) Chest stretch
9 ) Turn body to left and then to right
10 ) Check pulse
At the end of the book, there is a notes section to note down important events that happened or tasks that were done and to write other notes in the respective table for the month!
Users can use this book as a calendar, diary and a simple prayer and exercise book. Each day one set of exercises can be done so that they can complete all the exercises in a few days. This will help all users to do daily prayer and exercises and thus bring about positive changes in our life.
