Description

A Handbook for Adolescent Mental Well-Being is that manual.

Moving beyond clinical jargon and "toxic positivity," Tanaya Mihani offers a grounded, compassionate roadmap through the modern teenage experience. This handbook breaks down the science of the developing brain and provides actionable strategies for the moments when life feels heavy.

What’s Inside:
The Foundation: Understanding the "why" behind adolescent changes.

The Language of Emotions: Learning to decode stress, pressure, and heavy feelings.

Resilience Redefined: Why being "strong" doesn't mean never breaking.

Identity & Belonging: Navigating self-worth, body image, and the digital age.

The Skill of Help-Seeking: Practical advice on using your voice and knowing your rights.

Whether you are a young person looking for clarity, a parent seeking to understand, or a friend wanting to help, this book proves one thing: You matter-today and tomorrow.

About the Author

Tanaya Mihani is a young change maker dedicated to advancing adolescent mental health awareness through education, empathy, and evidence-based action. An academically accomplished student and recipient of multiple excellence awards, including the Chairperson Award (2025) and the Best Student Initiative Award at the Radiance Women Awards (2025), she has consistently combined leadership with social impact.
Deeply affected by the realization that many students struggle in silence-unable to share their stress or emotional challenges-Tanaya pursued formal training through WHO and PAHO to better understand adolescent mental health, human rights, psychosocial support, and stigma reduction. These learning led to the creation of Project MANN, an initiative that works exclusively to raise awareness around adolescent mental health and emotional well-being from a student-centred, rights-based perspective.
This book reflects her commitment to helping young people feel seen, supported, and empowered to seek help early-because mental well-being matters, today and for the future.
