I have also shared the experiences I have gained since nine years working with millet. The issues and the problems faced by the new millet entrepreneurs pushed me to write this book for you.

This book will indirectly help the small and marginal millet farmers of our country as they are the first stakeholders in the millet value chain. The millet startups will build the forward linkage and connect farmers with the consumers delivering the right product that will help in building a healthy nation.
This book will act as the guidebook for all the budding entrepreneurs willing to take a step in building their millet startups. It will also benefit scientists, food technologists, students, researchers, policymakers, FPOs, Self-help groups, and institutions working in the development sectors.
Tapas Chandra Roy, A Certified Farm Advisor on Millets and has been recognized by the National Institute of Agricultural Extension Management (MANAGE) and the Indian Institute of Millets Research (IIMR), Hyderabad.
He is an agriculture graduate and did his MBA (Agri-Business Management) from Vaikunth Mehta National Institute of Co-operative Management (VAMNICOM), Pune. He is currently working as Block Agriculture Officer-cum-Deputy Project Director, ATMA in the Department of Agriculture and Farmers’ Empowerment, Government of Odisha.
He is promoting Millets from Farm to Plate so that the goodness of Millets is reached many people. He is on a mission to take the millet to millions. He is looking after the implementation of the Odisha Millet Mission at the ground level. He is helping farmers from Sowing to Harvesting by imparting training and providing Advisory Services.
He has a passion to develop delicious and innovative millet recipes and has been awarded at the National Level. He was the first winner of making Millet Rasgulla and runner-up in the Special Millet Biriyani Millet Recipe Contest conducted by the Indian Institute of Millets Research, Hyderabad.
He is a Youtuber(> 16,000 subscribers) and a Blogger (www.milletadvisor.com) (8,000-10,000 visitors per month) on Millets. He has created a Youtube Channel in which he is promoting millets by covering every aspect of it. On his youtube channel, he is covering Millet Technologies, Processing, Millet Farming, Recipes, and many more, and helping and guiding millet entrepreneurs in their journey.
On these digital platforms, he is taking the initiative to share his knowledge, skills, learning, and all about millets so that awareness is created in this digital world and his advice and recommendations may help farmers, consumers, entrepreneurs, and all other stakeholders in their decision-making.
He has contributed to the ”White Paper on Millets” as a Task Force Committee Member submitted to Niti Aayog, Government of India. He shared his experience and knowledge in Agriculture Production, Climate, and Post-Harvest Processing & Policy Status, and Prescription on Millets.
Finally, he has a passion for Millets.
