The national healthcare of the population needs to address many aspects of healthcare apart from just provisioning quality healthcare. In times of increased healthcare demand due to instances such as COVID-19, the national healthcare system for the population must be robust to withstand such shocks and ensure consistent, uniform quality healthcare services for its population. The inflated healthcare cost, generate systemic inefficiencies, leaving weaker section of society inaccessible to healthcare.

We discussed and presented various concepts and issues with possible solutions in the provision of national healthcare for the population. Basic healthcare is a must for the people of the country. The importance of insurance players in the country that can boost the healthcare resources for the weaker section of the society. We also elaborated on the historical healthcare models of Beveridge and Bismarck and their contribution to the efforts to provide national healthcare for the population. The drawbacks and advantages of both models are presented in the practical world of today's healthcare. Where these healthcare models vouching for national healthcare succeed and fail. The hybrid models and the out-of-pocket (OOP) model of healthcare are also discussed at great length. The possible boost that can be achieved with the hybrid model of national healthcare and the drawbacks that are created when implementing the model.

Further, the importance of timely healthcare for the population and building trust in the national government by improving the healthcare quality parameters of efficiency, efficacy, patient-centeredness, timeliness, safety, and equity.
