When we think of “night,” the first image that comes to mind is darkness, isn’t it? Yet even darkness has its time. With the first ray of dawn, the shadows begin to fade. It is with that hope that we welcome the night, that we sleep.

But what if, one day, the night never ended? What if there were no glimmer of light, only a suffocating, impenetrable darkness that stole all sense of direction? And if it stretched on endlessly, what would you do? Would you fight for the light, or would you surrender to the darkness and learn to dwell there?

What I am writing here is the story of a rainstorm that fell in the heart of the night, a night that seemed endless, yet eventually gave way to a sunrise.
