Description

Some people leave and take everything with them. Haider took nothing — except the part of Eeza that never quite learned to stop reaching for him.
Two years after a breakup neither of them could fully explain, Eeza shows up at Haider's door with an impossible ask: come to Paris, pretend we never fell apart, and help me convince my family I haven't ruined my life. He says yes. He always says yes. That's the problem.
What follows is five days in Paris — and then months of running into each other in all the wrong places, including, inevitably, the one office in the city where they were never supposed to meet again.

About the Author

Vaneeza Ghori is a novelist, blogger, and researcher whose work moves between literary fiction and the philosophy of the self.
Born and raised in India, she completed her undergraduate studies in Philosophy and Russian Studies, receiving a gold medal for the highest CGPA in her department. She is currently completing a Post Graduate Diploma in Guidance and Counselling alongside an M.Phil, bringing a rare dual lens — philosophical and psychological — to everything she writes.
She has been writing fiction since school, and has published multiple novels, including Guilty Love and Almost Everything, a dual-POV literary romance set across four meetings and a Paris epilogue that has been described as "a slow-burning, bittersweet love story about the almost that changes you forever." Her work is marked by emotional precision, structural intelligence, and an instinct for the sentence that lands quietly and stays forever.
Her academic writing is equally original, she has published a research paper presenting an independent theory on free will, and her integration thesis, A Step Towards Yourself, takes the form of four letters exploring the relationships that shape identity.
She writes in English and Hindi-Urdu, thinks in philosophy, and hides her most important goodbyes in Russian.
