‘No Matter how good I am, there is somebody, somewhere in the world who is better than me…’

Vetrivel Janakiraman was born in Nagappattinam, a small town on the shores of the Bay of Bengal. He spent much of his childhood in Mysore before moving to Cologne, Germany, where he lives today with his wife and two children.
Having secured a bachelor’s in engineering at university in India, Vetrivel continued his studies in Germany and went on to become an Operational Excellence Professional. Today he works in the pharmaceutical division of a large German company in Penzberg.
Aside from his day job, Vetrivel has also written his first book which explores spiritualism and the benefits of continuous self-reflection. He hopes that it will assist people from all walks of life and of different faiths, to find more clarity within their own lives and enjoy more simplicity in thinking.
In his free time, Vetrivel enjoys reading ancient Indian spiritual writings and makes journeys to India, where he meets spiritual gurus and engages in deep and meaningful discussions with them about the purpose and meaning of life. He is also a lifelong learner and is always seeking new ways to improve himself while also helping the underprivileged through charity work.
In the future, Vetrivel would like to live in a world there is more clarity of purpose, where there are no egos and people have more patience. He continues to strive to be a better person each day and to live a happy life without attachment to material pleasures.
