We light candles as a sign of hope and comfort, and as a reminder of the fire, a loved one brought into our life.
But is candle march the way of demanding justice to such beloved ones?
When it comes to changing a culture bent, candlelight vigils alone will never be enough. We have mechanisms to punish the victim after the crime has been committed but we do not have any mechanisms to stop the crime from taking place. Only some watershed events make the government take adequate steps, issues like the Nirbhaya rape case, Bhanwari Devi, Yangju highway incident, Terror attack, LGBT rights, cases pushed the government to pass laws and take actions.
The protest marches, candle-lit rallies, online rants and furious media debates are hardly the way to solve any problem. The call for tougher laws is little more than empty talk. Hence the authors in this book have attempted to bring out the injury caused by the brutes to the sufferers from there panorama and calls for justice through the power of authorship

About the Author

As writers ourselves, we know more about the writer’s impasse. So we designed Writerstolli to create hearty bonds with our new writers. We endeavour to give motivation, amity and a fresh appealing platform for emerging writers.
Long-term, our vision is to perform an even greater part in supporting the thriving writers. We challenged them with distinctive poetry forms, thought for the day and word of the day.
