Arun Kumar Dutta's "Smritcharan" is an Autobiographical book in which the Author candidly talks about his childhood, adolescence and youth. Period 1947 to 1969. We read about Bankura Bishnupur where Sri Dutta spent his School-life-Classes five to eleven. Then School-life is over at class eleven. His previous school was in Chetla. Civil Engineering from Belur Ramakrishna Mission Shilpamandir after finishing school. Then job in West Bengal Govt., Theater Road, Fisheries Department. An attempt was made to fish farming by acquiring various Bhari near Kolkata. 1540 acres of Land was acquired. Trying to pisciculture in dirty water. All efforts failed due to litigation. Mukundapur, Kalikapur, Santoshpur, Garia - these places also tried. Everything is pending in the end. Necessarily come Fezarganj, Digha.... This is like an unknown history taken from the Mahafezkhana.

About the Author

Arun Kumar Dutta was born in Lalmanirhat Sadar Hospital in Rangpur District of East Pakistan on 3rd day of March , 1944. His Father is Harendra Chandra Dutta and Mother's name is Parul. Arun Kumar Dutta's father worked in East Pakistan Police. He came to this country in 1947 and joined Calcutta Police. He rented a house in Chetla. Then the Wooden Bridge over Adi Ganga. Shri Datta came to this country holding his father's hand when he was only two years old. Primary Education at Rangmaster School, Kailash Vidyamandir. The journey starts from there. After that, Bankura Bishnupur High School, then passed Civil Engineering from Belur Ramakrishna Mission's Shilpamandir and joined the post of Junior Engineer in West Bengal Government and retired as Senior Project Engineer. Sri Dutta's journey started at Chetala, Bankura, Bishnupur, Digha and end at Thakurpukur.
