Maharishi Patanjali Pranit Yogadarshan
Maharishi Patanjali is the author of Yogasutra which is one of the 6 philosophies of Hindus (Nyaya, Vaisheshika, Sankhya, Yoga, Mimamsa, Vedanta). Yoga Sutra is the basic text of Yoga philosophy. There is a rule in Yoga Sutra to concentrate the mind and immerse it in God. According to Maharishi Patanjali, stopping the tendencies of the mind from being fickle (Chittavrttinirodha) is Yoga, that is, not letting the mind wander here and there, keeping it fixed on only one thing is Yoga. Patanjali talks about the functional development of man in Yoga Darshan.
Maharishi Patanjali is the creator of Yoga Sutra, and Patanjali Yogadarshan is a very important scripture, it has 196 sutras of Yoga. These basic 196 sutras have been described in this book.
