About the Authors

Amit Bhatnagar is the Senior Principal Surveyor & Vice President at the Indian Register of Shipping. He has the distinction of serving as Chairman of two branches of the Institute of Marine Engineers (India) He also holds the distinction of being the founder and convener of two 4-yearly International Conferences, the Global Maritime Seminar (GLOMARS) and International Shipping Conference (ISCO).
He has served on the Marine Engineering Division Board of the Institution of Engineers (India) and has been recognized for his services to the maritime fraternity by various organizations. Institution of Engineers (I) presented him with the Eminent Marine Engineer Award” in 2014. In addition to other felicitations, he has also been conferred with the Vijay Rattan Gold Medal, Indian Business Excellence Award and Star of Asia Award. He has also served on the Board of Studies at various universities.
In addition to this book, many of his technical papers have been published in various International Journals.
