Teen's Money Mastery is written primarily for teenagers between the ages of 13 and 19. If you are in this age group and you want to get smarter about money, this book is for you — regardless of how much pocket money you get, whether your family is rich or middle-class, and whether you have any prior knowledge of finance.
But this book is also genuinely useful for:
Parents who want to start having money conversations with their teenagers but do not know where to begin. This book can serve as a shared starting point — something you can read together and discuss.
Teachers and schools who are looking for a practical, engaging resource to introduce financial literacy to young students. The structured format — with tips, mistakes, and action steps at the end of every chapter — makes it easy to use in a classroom setting.
Anyone who missed financial education growing up and wants to catch up in a way that is simple, practical, and not intimidating.
A Note from the Author
My name is Anwesha Patro; I am a teenager. I understand what it feels like to have limited money, unlimited wants, and zero clarity about how to manage it all. I understand the pressure of watching peers buy things while you are trying to be "responsible." I understand the confusion of hearing adults say "save money" without anyone actually explaining how.
I wrote this book from that place of genuine understanding — not from a position of having all the answers, but from a genuine commitment to figuring them out and sharing what I have learned.
I want every teenager who reads this book to finish it feeling two things: informed and empowered. Informed enough to understand the basics of money. Empowered enough to take their first real step toward financial independence.
Your future self is watching the choices you make today. And the best decision you can make right now is to start learning.
