You must have observed when hanging out with a curious young child, one word can turn an average day into an fantastic journey.
Every question leads to another.
Why?
How?
Where?
Can it?
Sometimes the questions are simple.
Sometimes they leave even adults scratching their heads.
This book took shape from the many hundreds of these and similar conversations my grandson Ishu and I have had over the years. Whether it was walking with Ishu to his school or flying high over the ocean, or while playing a game of chess or just watching the rain stream down the windows or drinking tea together, Ishu continued to astound me with his questions, converting the simple and mundane into rich learning experiences in science and technology and the universe at large.
By profession - software engineering - practice - teaching and a lifetime learner, most of my waking hours are spent explaining things to others, and among many other ways to educate myself along with fellow human beings I came to realized that the highest of the educational explanations never start with “big fancy words” and massive “reference books, thick with text; on the contrary, they most generally starts with some objects you are used to dealing with: a glass of water for instance; a Chess match; a book at your disposal in a library ; a Styrofoam Cup and the “wide open sky “at the ceiling of your mind
That is exactly how this book is written.
