I didn't set out to write a book about intelligence. I set out to answer a question that had bothered me for a long time. why do so many brilliant people underperform, and why do so many people written off as average end up doing remarkable things?

The answer, I found, had nothing to do with IQ.

It had everything to do with the other four forms of intelligence that nobody talks about . Creative Intelligence, Executive Intelligence, Metacognition, and the adaptive capacity he calls 1% Intelligence. Each one real. Each one measurable. And each one something you can actually build.
