Chan hails from the state of Uttar Pradesh, India. His full name is 'Chandrasen Yadav', however he writes poetry in his pen name 'Chan', which translates to 'Moon' and 'Loved ones' in Punjabi, and 'Destiny' in Urdu. He is an aspiring storyteller, and uses different mediums for doing that i.e. short stories, music, etc. and one of the prominent one being poetry. He is a psychologist by profession, and having a deep inclination towards phenomenological experience of a human being, he wants to express individual suffering through art, to share that unique perception of an artistic mind, which would help us human beings understand each other in a better way.

'GRIEF' was his first poetry collection in English, and the second and the latest one is 'Ranjishein' in Urdu.
