Born in McKinney, Texas, Clarence’s family relocated to San Diego, California, and later to Arizona. In addition to a fulfilling career in the U.S. Army and California Army National (with service in Vietnam and Europe), he worked for 20 years as a technical writer, editor, and instructional designer. After 9/11, he returned to active duty in the U.S. Army Reserves and served in Saudi Arabia.
He has performed in local theater productions and training videos and enjoys singing at church and karaoke, playing basketball, performing stand-up comedy, and trying his hand at various types of writing.
Clarence first book, Mama Squad, was published by BeachHouse Books and several studios are considering it for a feature film. His other books include Wheezer’s World, The World’s Oldest Recruit, Worlds to Come, Stand Up! A World We Used to Know, and The Man Who Played God.
