In early 2025, CBSE released the circular “Inclusion of Daily Positive Affirmations in Morning Assemblies,” a progressive and thoughtful step toward emotional development in schools. However, without a guideline framework, schools are left to interpret affirmations independently. This creates the risk of unregulated or psychologically unsafe affirmations being used in morning assemblies.
This book has been developed to fill that gap.
It combines neuroscience, psychology, NLP, educational science, and holistic human development to create a structured, student-friendly method for building affirmations that truly support learning and emotional safety.
It presents:
• Clear scientific explanations,
• Practical rules for creating affirmations,
• Age-appropriate templates,
• Implementation guidelines for schools, and
• A psychological safety checklist.
Positive affirmations have entered classrooms across India and abroad as a tool to improve student well-being, confidence, and emotional balance. While affirmations can be powerful, their impact depends entirely on how they are designed. Scientific evidence shows that poorly structured affirmations especially those forcing fixed emotional states can unintentionally suppress real emotions, elevate psychological distress, and weaken motivation.
My intention is simple:
to support schools, teachers, and families in nurturing emotionally healthy, resilient, and self-aware students through scientifically grounded affirmations.
I hope this book contributes to a healthier educational ecosystem for the 22.35+ million CBSE learners across India and abroad.
