Gulmohar Dreams is artist and book editor Dharshana Bajaj's second book. This is the author's first novel. It's part fictionalized autobiography, part creative non-fiction. It depicts the slow and very personal processing of heartbreak and trauma related to concerns like abuse, divorce, and neglect. It also depicts the unfolding of the resilient human spirit, which leads one to ultimately transform oneself via the golden gates of self-love and forgiveness, to create heaven on Earth.

We cannot choose what scars we get or how deep they run...but we can decide if we wish to bleed till eternity or stand up, wipe ourselves clean, and walk toward the light, love, and peace. Toward our own Gulmohar Dreams.

Dharshana's earlier book was a creative non-fiction titled Gaia's Own: Every Child's Guide To Living In Harmony With Nature. In Gulmohar Dreams too, the author calls the readers' attention to climate change and related environmental issues.
