Description

The price of starting a business just collapsed. Most people have not noticed yet.

One person with a real skill can now build, launch, market, and run a business that needed five salaries a decade ago. Not a side hustle. Not a get-rich-quick scheme. A real business, with real customers, real margins, and your name on the door.

Dhaval Khamar is a chartered accountant and insolvency professional who buries failed companies for a living, and who, despite being unable to write code, has shipped an automated trading system, an education product used by paying students, and a fleet of tools that do his boring work while he sleeps. In this book he combines both sides of that unusual resume into a builder's manual for the one-person business.

You will learn how to find the overlap between what you know and what markets pay for, how to test demand with real money before you build anything, how to write the kill criteria that stop a failing idea from stealing your decade, how to manage AI as a tireless staff of five while keeping the judgment human, how to market, sell, and deliver alone without burning out, and how to run the numbers, rules, and boring structures that separate businesses that compound from businesses that quietly die.

Written without hype, from the failure pile rather than the winner's podium, this is the solopreneurship book for professionals who want evidence over encouragement, and a business that is still standing in five years. Includes a free companion workbook, The Solopreneur's Notebook.

About the Author

Dhaval Khamar is a Chartered Accountant, CPA Australia and Insolvency Professional with more than two decades in finance across India and Australia, spanning banking, corporate leadership, mergers and acquisitions advisory, and his own practice. His insolvency work involves the forensic examination of failed companies, an education in how businesses actually die that informs every chapter of this book.

He is also, despite being unable to write code, the builder of an automated trading system, an education product used by paying students, and a collection of smaller systems that do his boring work while he sleeps, all built through supervised collaboration with AI tools.

He divides his time between India and Australia.
