About the Author

Dr. Aakash Kembhavi is an Ayurvedic physician-scholar and academic with over 35 years of engagement with Ayurveda as student, clinician, educator, researcher, and administrator. He holds an MD in Ayurveda (Shalya Tantra), PGDMLS, and MS in Counselling and Psychotherapy. He has taught Ayurveda internationally, including visiting professorships in London and France, and serves as a PhD Guide and Chief Editor of the International Journal of Ayurveda. He is the founder of Astanga Wellness Pvt. Ltd. and the author of multiple KDP publications in the Astanga Wellness Education Series, including the companion volume The PG Scholar's Synopsis Writing Handbook. His reform-oriented blog, Ayurveda Unfiltered, reaches a community of practitioners and scholars. He writes from a position he describes as "critical insider" — deeply committed to Ayurveda and equally committed to holding it to the standards its own epistemological tradition demands.
