Description
The Pagati Veshalu (Daytime Disguises) of the Kuchipudi tradition represent one of the
most distinctive and intellectually profound expressions of India’s cultural heritage.
Rooted in the rich artistic legacy of the Kuchipudi Bhagavathulu, these dramatic
presentations transcended the boundaries of entertainment to become powerful
instruments of moral instruction, social awareness, and spiritual enlightenment. Through
wit, humour, satire, and compelling characterization, Pagati Veshalu educated society
by promoting the timeless values of Dharma (righteousness), Neeti (ethics), devotion,
and social responsibility.
