Ethology is the scientific study of animals in which we particularly focus on understanding how animals interact with each other in their natural environments and underlying mechanisms. This branch of Biology studies the behavior of animals from the smallest insects to the majestic animals(mammals). In Ethology the insights to animal behavior and underlying mechanisms are gained by integrating observational findings with experimental approaches. It is an interdisciplinary field of science which is drawn from various fields including evolution, genetics, ecology and psychology.
Ethology not only helps to understand the behaviors of animals but also assists in protection and conservation of our environment and balancing the ecosystem. Understanding the behaviors of endangered species helps in developing effective strategies and plans for habitat preservation.
In the field of animal husbandry ethology plays a vital role for rearing animals in captivity(zoos). Environments of captive animals can be improved by understanding the behavior patterns of animals in natural habitat. This practice will help raise the welfare standards of zoo and the animals will adapt to captive lifestyle in short duration.

Dr Manoj Chandra Kandpal works as Director at JPM PG College Bareilly affiliated with MJP Rohilkhand University Bareilly. He holds teaching and research experience of 25 years. He has published more than 45 research papers and articles in newspapers and in different journals of National and International repute. There is 6 edited book and 15 invited lectures to his credit. Till now you have received the best teacher award 8 times from various institutions in district Bareilly. You were honored on the occasion of teachers day on September 5, 2021, for your remarkable contribution to the implementation of NEP 2020 by the government of Uttar Pradesh.
Dr. Ashok Kumar
M.Sc. (Zoology), M.Phil., GATE, CSIR-UGC NET, Ph.D.
Dr. Ashok Kumar is an accomplished Associate Professor with 16 years of teaching and research experience. He heads the Department of Zoology at MLK PG College, supervises Ph.D. students, and serves as Convenor at the Tiger Nature Club. With over 55 papers published in prestigious journals, he is also a prolific author in various areas including pest control, immunology, and genetics. Dr. Kumar has received esteemed awards for his outstanding contributions and is a fellow of renowned organizations in the field of biology and environmental sciences.

Prof. Susmita Srivastav
M.Sc. (Zoology), Ph.D.
Prof. Susmita Srivastav is Gold Medallist (Zoology,1997) and was awarded Ph.D. (2002) from DDU Gorakhpur University. Presently she is a Professor and Head in Shivharsh Kisan P.G College Basti with teaching and research experience of 18 years. she supervises Ph.D. students and is Convenor (Zoology,2019 onwards) at Siddhartha University, Kapilvastu. Dr. Srivastav has published research papers in prestigious National & International Journals. She is also an author in various areas in Comparative anatomy, Cytology genetics &infectious diseases.

Dr. Nidhi Tripathi
M.Sc. (Zoology), Ph.D.
Dr. Nidhi Tripathi is the Assistant Professor at the Swami Shukdevanand College Shahjahanpur since 2015. she has completed her Ph.D. degree in 2014 from Rohilkhand University Bareilly U.P. India. She has 14 years of research experience and 8 years of teaching experience in Zoology. She has received the HONORARY FELLOWSHIP from the scientific society. she attended many National and International conferences. She is a life member of 5 national and International scientific societies like the Indian science congress, the Society of life sciences, Asian PGPR, the Society of Andrology India, and SRBS. She has published a research paper and one chapter in a book.
