Technology in various ways is helping in achieving this goal which is also reflected in the National Education Policy (NEP). This book is a humble effort to collate the scholarly inputs of educators and practitioners on policies and practices in educational technologies, with special reference to India.
In Chapter 1, Dr. Parvesh Lata & Nazama acquaint the readers to the New advanced degree programs which have emerged in recent years as a result of growing interest in educational technology and how they are intended to enable teachers to adopt an innovator's mentality and become transformative technology leaders in their classrooms, school, or district. In Chapter 2, Karishma Narangand & Dr. Parvesh Lata throws light on the the applications of Educational Technology in formal learning and non-formal learning which could improves the quality, efficiency and effectiveness of lifelong learning of adults, their continuous personal and professional growth. In Chapter 3, Dr. Rekha Kaushal & Dr. Sunita Sehrawat provide an overview of the three learning theories that are discussed are constructivism, cognitivism, and behaviourism. Dr. Pooja Chopra, in Chapter 4, examine how Instructional design is an important component of all teaching processes.
In Chapter 5, Jenifer Robinson & Hemalatha Srinivas Manchikanti describe the importance of collaborative and social learning, how these terms work together in society, their advantages, and disadvantages, the latest developments, and case studies. Ms. Madhu Hans, in Chapter 6, emphasizes how Technological progress revolutionized the field of education. In Chapter 7, Dr. Divya Kalra Baweja &Ms. Ritu Sapra explains the newest trends in educational technology including Artificial Intelligence, Immersive Learning with Augmented and Virtual Reality, Big Data, Block chain Technology, Game Based Learning, Cloud Based Learning. Exploring how Web 2.0 technologies is transforming the learning environment as well as what are the benefits and barriers associated with web 2.0 is succinctly overviewed in Chapter 8 by Neha Kumari,. Open educational resources (OER) are explained in Chapter 9 by Dr. Amrita Sodhi &Dr. Prerna Vashistha.
In Chapter 10, Somesh Kumar & Sonali Singhal discusses educational technology policies formulated by the Central and State governments of India. While in Chapter 11, Paskalia N Otto gives insights on e-inclusion, e-learning quality, the use of assistive technology in e-learning, and the integration of information systems into teaching and learning. In Chapter 12, Dr. Ruchi Bajpai emphasizes the Ethical Issues for E-Learner and E-Teacher. Fr. Baiju Thomas, explain in Chapter 13, ICT-based evaluation techniques for teacher education programs (TEP) to change Pre-service teachers' roles in 21st-century educational systems. In Chapter 14, Dr. Sunil Kumar emphasizes library professionals' difficulties when creating a digital library. In this report, the investigator highlighted a few of the library professional's points of view who had difficulties creating a digital library.. Finally, in Chapter 15, Dr. Ritu Rani, Meenaxi & Riya emphasizes on how Educational games have been criticised for interfering with students' ability to study, but they have also been shown to boost the enthusiasm and engagement of learners, improve their visual skills, foster better peer cooperation, and prepare them to apply gaming ideals in their real world. Within this book, we hope the readers shall discover concepts worth construing that are the outcome of a fervent, optimistic, common vision and diligent efforts of educators with expertise. Through our writing, we wish to re-create a brighter understanding of inclusive education and its role in creating an equitable and just society.

About the Author

Parvesh Lata is currently associated with the Department of Education, SOHSE as Associate Professor and Head. Parvesh has 17 years of experience in the education sector. Prior to taking up her current role, Parvesh Lata served in academic and Research position such as Associate Professor at college affiliated to GGSIPU, New Delhi; Research Officer, School of Education (Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi), Lecturer, Biological Sciences at various colleges and University Research Fellowship holder. Parvesh Lata holds a Ph.D Education, M.Sc. (Environmental Sc.) from University of Guru Jambheshwar (Hisar); B.Ed, M.Ed from University of Maharishi Dayanand​ (Rohtak) and M.Phil (Education) from University of Kurukshetra. She has qualified UGC-NET (Education), 2007; Haryana-SLET (Env. Sc.), 2004; Agricultural Scientist Recruitment Board (ASRB)-NET (Env. Sc.) PUSA, New Delhi, 2004; CTET (TGT Science, PRT), 2011. She is also awarded the Gyan Ratna National award 2022, by CED Foundation India , Best teacher using digital media platform by National Excellence award registered under MSME Govt. of India and many other prestigious awards. She is a member of various organizations like FELA, GERA, CTEF- CTPD Delhi- NCR chapter etc. She has published 40 research papers in reputed National /International Journals and edited books. She has also developed modules for SWAYAM-MOOCs course, e-module in science and text based contents in teacher education field.

Dr. Igona Gorakhnath is Ph.D from Central University of Punjab, Bathinda. She is specialized in educational technology, measurement and evaluation, pedagogy of science and statistics in education. She did her M.Ed., B.Ed., M.Sc. and B.Sc. from University of Lucknow, Lucknow. She also qualified UGC-NET JRF in Education. Her area of research is Educational Robotics and its effectiveness on higher order thinking skills and engagement. She has done research in the area of educational robotics and how to integrate robotics in science subjects at elementary level. She has developed learning packages using robotics for Class 6 science with special focus on engagement and higher order thinking skills of students. She is efficient in her research work and doing innovative work in the field of Educational Robotics. She also got recognition for her unique research at international platforms. She has also been awarded ‘Young Educationist Award’ and ‘Popular Paper Award’ for her research.

Dr. Paulami Sanyal has joined the School of Education, G.D. Goenka University as an Assistant Professor. Prior to this she has worked as a Research Assistant at Manohar Parrikar Institute for Defence Studies and Analysis (MP-IDSA) in a project (Bangladesh), and at Institute for Conflict Management (ICM) as a Research Assistant on South Asian studies. She has a Ph.D. from the Centre for West Asian Studies, School of International Studies, Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi. She did her M.Phil. from the same Center and holds a Master’s degree in International Relations from the School of International Studies, Jawaharlal Nehru University. Her Ph.D. thesis was titled “Role of New Media during Arab Spring in Egypt.” Dr. Sanyal’s broader areas of interest include media’s role in politics, New Media’s relations with politics, media in Bangladesh, Egyptian politics, and India-Egypt relations. Her research papers have been published in Contemporary Review of the Middle East and several books.
