Dr.R.Gayatri was born in 1977 in Tirunelveli District. Graduated in Corporate Secretrayship from A.K.D.Dharmaraja Women's College, Rajapalayam, obtained post graduate degree in the same field from Alagappa University, Karaikudi, obtained M.Phil from the same university in the area of cost Analysis and completed Ph.D from the same University in the area of Company Law in the year 2004.

Started the career as Project fellow in Alagappa University in the year 2000, served as a Lecturer in Sindhi College, Chennai from 2002 to 2006. Joined as a Lecturer in St.Peter's Engineering College and promoted as Assistant Professor in the year 2007. Promoted as Professor in 2010 and worked as a Professor & Head till April2019, was freelancing Research Analyst in Dailty Thanthi from February 2019 to May 2020.

Being a doctorate Dr.R.Gayatri undertook Ph.D guidance in the year 2007 and 15 members has been awarded Ph.D under her guidance 6 submitted and 4 pursuing Ph.D under her guidance. Dr.R.Gayatri guided more than 35 M.Phil scholars of various universities. Dr.R.Gayatri is an authorized guide of Madras University, Alagappa University, Tamil Nadu Open University for MBA and External guide for Bharathiyar University from 2009 to till date.
Dr.R.Gayatri extended her knowledge in the field of Commerce by completing M.Com, done her Post Graduate Diploma in Computer Application, and obtained M.Sc Psychology degree from Madras University. Obtained certificate for Educating Entrepreneurs course from IIM and Stanford University.

Dr.R.Gayatri published various articles in 51 International and 53 National Journals, attended and Presented 13 International, 15 National level conferences and published in proceedings and journals including 12 SCOPUS Journals. Dr.R.Gayatri attended 23 quality improvement programme like Faculty development, Seminar and workshop to enhance the knowledge in the same field. Dr.R.Gayatri is an editor for Editor for the journal titled "International Journal of Management Research" ISSN 2394-5842, Editor for the book title "Branding the brand" ISBN 978-93-80508-01-6, Editor for the journal "Global Journal of Business and Management Research" ISSN 2347-7814, Volume-1 Issue -2, Special Issue for Feb15. (Special Edition for st.Peter's University). Dr.R.Gayatri was an ED Cell Coordinator, ISO Auditor, Cultural Coordinator.

Mentor in Career counseling programme, social, women and political related debates in channels like Thanthi TV, Puthiya Thalaimurai, News J, Sun News, News 7, Kalaigar Tv, Vendar Tv, & Chanakyaa, Aadhan and other You tube channels.
Dr.R.Gayatri invited by many colleges and schools for guest lecture, key note speaker in Conferences, guest for Annual day progamme.

Writing motivating articles in Daily Thandhi News Paper from July 2017. She has written a series of 25 articles in Daily Thandhi (Nathi pola odikondiru). More than 25 articles in 4th page articles in Thanthi. She is writing articles Daily Thanthi, Dina Seithi, Tamil Hindu –Magazine – Kamadhenu writing series (Muthumai enum Poongatru). Ore nadu Magazine.

Now started a own Education Consultancy “GAYATRI GYANS”. Adjunct Faculty in Saveetha School of Law and Faculty Coordinator in Pandey School of Journalism. Doing Psychological Counseling to students and personal counseling.
