On 7 October 2001, a man who had never contested an election took the oath as Chief Minister of Gujarat. On 7 October 2026 he completes twenty-five years as a head of government. That is 9,131 days, the longest tenure any Indian has held.

More than four hundred books have been written about Narendra Modi: anthologies, tributes, studies of leadership and critiques. This book is none of those. It is a performance audit, written by a former auditor who spent about twenty-five years with the Comptroller and Auditor General of India. It asks the three questions every audit asks: what was promised, what was delivered, and what the record can and cannot show.

Every chapter opens with a Ledger Line, one dated number from an official source, and then earns it:

Each chapter ends with an Auditor's Note (what worked, what did not, and what the number cannot show), a Mind Forensics reading of the decision, a one-line Quantum Takeaway, and a Fact-Check List. That list names the primary document behind every figure: PIB, RBI, MoSPI, the Election Commission, the Supreme Court, ISRO, NPCI, the IMF and the World Bank.
