Niche memoir with personal reflection

Dr Singh's ability to weave personal experiences into conversational storytelling is reflected well in this book. I find his attempt to bring out anecdotal observations to scientific, cultural and spiritual connect a true winning aspect of this book.

An emotional roller-coaster ride

Dr. Rajinder is as consummate an author as he is a surgeon. The beauty of the book is that the author tells us about himself, and his journey, and also takes us along a historical overview of Sikhism. His personal journey is inspiring as well, and from a humble background, he has become an internationally famous surgeon, researcher, filmmaker, and now an author. The book takes us through all these journeys, and I promise u, it is an emotional ride, and at the same time, there is his trademark sense of humour throughout. The book is strongly recommended for all. Looking forward to the author's future works.

Amazing tale of an accomplished transplant surgeon

It's not easy to be transplant surgeon. It's a story of dream and hard work with huge ups and downs in life of a Sikh boy who is from a small town in India and finally established himself as a renowned transplant surgeon in UK.
This is a very interesting read and gives us an opportunity to have a peak inside a bright mind and thought process of the author. It's not only about a doctor it also educatedsus about complexity of social life, different faith and how resilience wins over the difficulties of life.

A valuable read for anyone.

An interesting read with an attempt to heal and unite

Rajinder ji is a multi-talented personality, in his day job he is a well known transplant surgeon.
Amongst other things, he has produced an interesting movie last year on environment protection.
Recently, he has published a book on his journey towards humanity & God. In this book he has reflected on the teachings of Sikhism & Hinduism, he has looked at the similarities & closeness of these two faiths with genuine warmth.
He has tried to understand the divisions of thought and various heinous political actions in north Bharat in the dark years of the 80s and he shines a light on how the Hindu & Sikh brothers can come together
with faith & understanding; how we can heal each others wounds & rebuild the one strong family!
This book makes a good read with a lucid style & pace. It makes you pause and reflect of what not to do and what can be done.
I will be looking forward to subsequent books from this marvelous person whom I am proud to call my friend!
