Dr. Shweta Parida
Dr. Shweta Parida, M.Tech, Ph.D., is working as an Assistant Professor and Head of the Department of Food Science, as well as Centre Head, Centre for the Product Development of Underutilized Wild Edible Plants, School of Comparative Indic Studies and Tribal Science, Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences-Deemed to be University in Bhubaneswar, Odisha. She has over 14 years of teaching experience, Former Asst. Prof., Department of FSTN, Sambalpur University and K.K. Wagh College of Food Technology, Nashik, Maharashtra. Her research interests include new product development, nutraceuticals, functional foods, phytochemical screening and shelf-life estimation of food products. Dr. Parida has published 37 papers in reputed journals, published 4 patents, contributed to 5 book chapters and authored 3 books, conducted 3 seminars, and has been speaker invitee to 12 occasions.
Dr. Saloman Behera
Dr. Saloman Behera is currently working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Food Science at Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences (CIST, KISS Deemed to be University), Bhubaneswar. Previously, he served as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Food Science at Sambalpur University. He possesses more than 8 years of teaching and research experience in the field of Food Science and Nutrition. Dr. Behera has published 14 research papers in reputed national and international journals and has contributed significantly to academic and scientific research. He is also credited with 3 patents in the area of food science and technology. In addition, he has authored 2 books and contributed 2 book chapters in edited volumes related to food science, nutrition, and health.
Dr. Sweta Arora
Dr. Sweta Arora is an Assistant Professor and Head in the Department of Zoology at Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences (KISS) Deemed to be University, Bhubaneswar, with over 13 years of research experience and 4 years of teaching experience. She earned her Ph.D. in Zoology from Banaras Hindu University (BHU), Varanasi, and has developed expertise in Endocrinology, Reproductive Biology, Chronobiology, Diabetes, Diabetic Nephropathy, and plant-based therapeutics for metabolic disorders. Her scholarly contributions include 16 research papers published in reputed national and international journals and 9 book chapters. Dr. Arora has successfully led a major research project funded by the Department of Science and Technology (DST), Government of India, and served as a DST Women Scientist–A at BHU from 2017 to 2020.
