Engineering is a vital profession for society, and it has evolved significantly over time. Various branches of engineering offer their contributions to society in a significant way, having far-reaching impact on the economy. This book explores the relationship between engineering and aesthetics and how they motivate each other. This book also discusses the motivations that shape the ways of the engineering profession. It also aims to provide a framework for advancing the profession of engineering, especially civil engineering.

The chief motivations are agreeing to experimental data and establishing new theories that are simple and elegant and lay the foundation for other scientists to make new discoveries. In civil engineering the chief motivations are simplicity, ease of implementation, reduction in cost and execution time, enhanced safety, and definitely laying the foundation for others to innovate and further the development.
