A beautiful fragile journey

“Breathe With Me” by Aryan Singh Charak is a beautifully written, emotionally charged debut that explores love, illness, grief, and the fragile magic of breath. The story of Zeph and Kate is tender, bittersweet, and filled with poetic depth — especially in its quieter moments. You can tell the author poured his heart into every line.

The metaphors are touching, the hospital setting is authentic, and the cherry blossom scenes feel cinematic. Some monologues truly stay with you — soft, aching, and honest.

However, at times, the pacing feels a bit uneven, especially in the middle chapters where some emotional arcs could’ve been tighter. There are also a few repetitive phrases and formatting slips (common in debut works), but they don’t take away from the heart of the story.

Overall: A heartfelt first novel that shows immense potential. If you enjoy stories like Five Feet Apart or The Fault in Our Stars, this will definitely resonate.
