Description

Moses is admitted into a British boarding school. His parents make great sacrifices to afford this. Moses faces many problems in the boarding. Back home his sister Miriam brainwashes the parents with the intention of grabbing all the money and property. Moses’ father Arman gets corrupt and also gets involved with a young girl Shivani. This in turn strains relationships within the family. After completing studies Moses is helped by a terrorist friend in settling down but this association lands Moses in jail. His sister takes full advantage of this situation leading to the parents disowning Moses. Moses’ ex-girlfriend Aashna asks Yashodhar, her estranged lawyer husband to bail out Moses but he intentionally entangles the case and Moses is sentenced. Upon release he marries Asahna. Arman gets paralyzed, and Moses decides to visit him, but riots have broken out after the demolition of the Babri Masjid. Moses however undertakes the journey. Moses’ parents want to go and stay at Miriam’s house, but she has readymade excuses to avoid them. Moses makes a choice to provide a happy life to his parents, but his decision makes him a suspect in the eyes of Miriam. She perceives him a threat, not as a rival for their love and affection, but for their massive inheritance. She gets busy planning for the final countdown. The story ends with the apathy shown by Miriam towards her ailing father and his tragic death. Thereafter Miriam goes on to emotionally exploit her mother. With the passage of time and happening of other events, Shiphrah’s eyes open and she decides to mete out justice. Moses had seen various types of human pursuits, but ultimately what he experienced as victorious, was his pursuit of dedicated service towards his parents.
