NATUROCEUTICALS IN PERIODONTICS

Description

Naturoceuticals in Periodontics is a review book on the herbs or natural products that are used in various gum diseases and also in periodontitis. With the disadvantages of using antibiotics in treatment of periodontitis locally as well as systemically, the trend has been shifted towards naturopathy. This book will help in understanding about natural products in general and its role in dentistry, with a more emphasis on periodontitis (periodontics). The text is organized into nine sections; and each section is further subdivided into chapters. Starting with the introduction in section one, the text flows gradually from classification of herbs, details of each herb and their medical use, also their uses in dentistry (periodontics), summary and conclusion with the inclusion of references at the end. I do not claim sole credit for the book. Undoubtedly there will be errors, deficiencies, oversights, and over simplification. The reader is advised to refer the bibliography to gain greater depth of knowledge. Hoping that this book will be immensely educative and helpful.

Dr. K VINATHI REDDY, BDS, MDS (PERIODONTICS AND IMPLANTOLOGY)
Presently, working as a Professor of Periodontics at Sri Sai College Of Dental Surgery. She is a Postgraduate guide and is interested in research activities pertaining to periodontics. She has many national and international publications to her credit. She also holds different posts in Indian society of periodontology.

Dr. PATHAKOTA KRISHNAJANEYA REDDY, BDS, MDS (PERIODONTICS AND IMPLANTOLOGY)
Presently working as, Professor and Head of the Department of Periodontics Sri Sai College Of Dental Surgery. He maintains a private practice and specializes in periodontal plastic surgical procedures. He has lectured in various CDE and conferences on topics related to periodontology. He has published many scientific articles in national and international journals

Dr. T MURALI KRISHNA, BDS, MDS (PERIODONTICS AND IMPLANTOLOGY)
Presently, working as a Professor of Periodontics at Sri Sai College Of Dental Surgery. He is a Postgraduate guide and is interested in research activities pertaining to periodontics. He has many national and international publications to his credit.
