About the Authors

Dr. Surajit Chattopadhyay is an Associate Professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering at Ghani Khan Choudhury Institute of Engineering and Technology (GKCIET), Malda, India. His research interests encompass smart grids, electric mobility, power quality, fault diagnosis, robotics, sensors, and IoT applications. He has authored and edited several books, published more than 170 research papers, and holds multiple patents. A Chartered Engineer (UK) and Fellow of the Institution of Engineers (India), Dr. Chattopadhyay has received several national and international recognitions, including the Railway Board’s Prize and the Outstanding Reviewer Award from IEEE Transactions on Instrumentation and Measurement.

Dr. Goutam Kumar Ghorai is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering at GKCIET, Malda. With extensive teaching and academic experience, he has been actively involved in engineering education, research, and institutional development. His areas of interest include electrical power systems, engineering education, and applied electrical technologies. He has contributed to numerous academic and technical activities and continues to mentor students in their professional and research pursuits.

Dr. Tapash Kr. Das is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering at GKCIET, Malda. He earned his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Jadavpur University, specializing in power systems and microgrids. His research focuses on renewable energy integration, smart power systems, microgrids, and sustainable energy technologies. Dr. Das has published scholarly works in his field and has been actively associated with professional bodies and academic initiatives related to energy systems and electrical engineering.

Mr. Rajeev Kumar is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering at Ghani Khan Choudhury Institute of Engineering & Technology (GKCIET), an institute under the Ministry of Education, Government of India. He obtained his B.Tech in Electrical Engineering from WBUT and M.Tech in Electrical Engineering (Specialization: Electrical Machines) from the Indian Institute of Engineering Science and Technology (IIEST), Shibpur. He is currently engaged in research work in collaboration with NIT Mizoram. His research interests include magnetic bearings, electrical machines, power electronics, control systems, and artificial intelligence applications in engineering. He has published research papers in reputed journals and conferences, received a Best Paper Award, and is a co-applicant of a published design patent. He is a Life Member of ISTE and a member of IEI and IEEE.
