This book is ‘Pharmacognosy and Plant Metabolites’ mainly concentrating to fulfill the needs of
undergraduate students like B.pharmacy and Pharma D students. The first edition is our
immensive pleasure to present the book Pharmacognosy and Plant Metabolites for Pharmacy
students. Our goal, from the beginning was to provide the basics of the subject in simple and
understanding manner. It provides systematic approach to quality control, and therapeutic utility
and clinical efficacy of herbal drugs has laid firm foundation of Pharmacognosy.

About the Author

Mr. Kolavali Yalla Reddy is presently working as Associate professor in Pharmacognosy at
Jagan’s college of pharmacy, Nellore, Andhra Pradesh.
Author is a B. Pharmacy graduate from Annamacharya College of Pharmacy in
Rajampet, Y.S.R district and M. Pharmacy in Pharmacognosy at Sree Vidyanikethan college of
pharmacy, Thirupathi. He is ratified from the JNTUA, Ananthapuram. He is having 10 years
teaching experience in various reputed organizations. He is a placement officer and NSS
program officer from Jagan’s college of pharmacy affiliated under JNTUA.
He has published 32 scientific research and review papers in reputed national and
international journals and presented more than 30 research abstracts at national scientific
conference in the area of Pharmacognosy and Phytochemistry.
