About the Author

The author MVS Murthy is an accomplished mechanical engineer of yester years who passed out of the prestigious BMS college of Mysore University in 1951. He served his entire career in the Public Works Department of Gujarat in the course of which he was involved in a wide variety of irrigation projects all over Gujarat. Fabrication, Erection and Commissioning of Radial lift gates on Dam Sites across Gujarat have been his career achievements. He retired as Chief Engineer and Joint Secretary to Govt. of Gujarat in 1986. A man of gandhian principles, Mr Murthy is keeping himself busy at the age of 84 in the noble task of knowledge sharing.
