Description

As a human rights activist, the human rights abuses by ousted Dictator Sheikh Hasina in Bangladesh deeply trouble me. Former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and her 14 Party Alliance have subjected the Bangladeshi people to a reign of terror spanning from 2009 to 2024. Their actions include committing genocide, mass killings, crimes against humanity, child abuse, gender based violence, human rights violations, and other atrocities that cannot be ignored by the global community.

Under Sheikh Hasina’s rule, allegations of forced disappearances, child abuse, gender-based violence, and extrajudicial killings have been alarmingly frequent. Innocent people have faced political suppression, with opposition parties illegally detained and peaceful protesters met with lethal force. Human lives have been reduced to mere statistics as mass graves and forced labor camps starkly reveal the dark legacy of this regime.

The systematic targeting of student and general protesters during July Uprising 2024 and political opponents stands as a violation against basic human rights. This is not merely a domestic issue—it is a significant international concern deserving the attention and action of global leaders, especially those committed to upholding human rights.

I prepare appeals to file case and petition in different entities, like International Criminal Court, Caribbean Court of Justice, public petition to the USA President, EU, AU, and other organizations to sue Sheikh Hasina, and her 14 Party Alliance and to enlist them as terrorist entities.

Cementing this classification can pave the way for holding this regime accountable, preventing further loss of life, and restoring justice and dignity to the oppressed people of Bangladesh.
