I’m a human.
I live in a safe place but somehow my demons always find me.
My biggest baggage is pain.
The society around me is familiar too, I’m sure but we are not allowed to be vocal.
Nothing but my mental health gets sacrificed. But today I’ll face them in my own damned way because in this journey I learnt that I have light within me.

We humans love to live in secured places. We keep our windows shut; doors closed and go to any extent to protect ourselves and our families from dangers. Unfortunately, there still lingers a danger we have not been successful to protect ourselves from, which is, pain.
Pain is a baggage almost everyone carries but nobody feels it the same way.
This collection of poetry takes the reader from baggage to freedom.
This collection of poetry gives the reader assurance that they’re not alone.
This collection of poetry expresses me, you and the society.

About the Authors

Prajna Chaudhary is a seventeen year old girl studying in grade eleventh in prestigious Modern School Barakhamba Road, New Delhi.
A daughter, a friend, a mentor and now on her journey of fulfilling her dream of becoming a writer, Prajna has glorified all these roles and built long lasting relationships, learnt life changing lessons and now on a mission to help the people around her, so that ‘self-destruction’ can be beautifully changed to ‘self-love’.
She started scribbling at a very young age and since then, her stories have found place in a number of online story-telling platforms and literature magazines.
Apart from reading and writing, she loves to dance and debate and has won several accolades for the same. She has also secured second position in all India, Paryavaran Ratna Rajat competition.
She’s of strong conviction that any adversity can be tackled with proper management of emotions. She aspires to destigmatize the talks around mental health and wishes to spread awareness in the society.
