About the Author

Ramkumar R (VU3WMV) is a licensed Amateur Radio operator and author based in India. A passionate advocate for making amateur radio accessible to everyone, he believes that the world of radio communication should not be locked behind complex textbooks and jargon.
Ramkumar holds a General Grade Amateur Station Operator's Certificate (ASOC) and operates under the callsign VU3WMV. His experience in studying for and passing the ASOC examination inspired him to write a guide that truly starts from scratch — one that any complete beginner could pick up and follow, regardless of their background in science or electronics.
His debut book, Get Your HAM Licence, is a complete guide to the Indian ASOC examination covering Radio Theory, Regulations, and Morse Code for both Restricted and General Grade. The book is published by Scout Library and is available on Amazon in Kindle and paperback formats.
When he is not on the air, Ramkumar is involved with scouting and youth education, encouraging young people to explore science, technology, and public service through amateur radio.
