Lalita, the heroine, falls in love with Atin when he goes to their house to see her as his bride. He tells her father that he will come for a final talk, but he doesn't. As Lalita fell in love at first sight with Atin, she felt sad to hear that and decided not to get married. With her sadness she decides to go on with her studies, and after a few years she passes M.B.B.S. and is posted at their rural hospital. One morning when Lalita was on her rounds, she saw a new patient in the last bed, which was empty till last evening. However, after visiting the patients, she went to the patient with the broken leg. But looking at his face, she was surprised because he resembled Atin. So, she felt an urge to learn about him. So Lalita asked his whereabouts and became certain that he was none other than Atin. Meanwhile, Atin too rec ognized Lalita and begged pardon of her and got united.
