What a range of imagination! The author shows tremendous creativity and presents amazing stories. Perfect blend of science and storytelling style. Superbly complemented by the illustrations.
The best story? Hmm - difficult to pick just one. I'll go with "Caged" and "Polar Leaf".
It is not easy to write stories that will appeal children as well as adults. This book shows that it is possible :) Hats off to Captain!

I was amazed at the wonderful imagination of the writer and the way in which he can transfer the reader into a far away land of fantasy. The stories are fairy tales and yet they have a ring of truth and learning. Simply Marvelous!

The stories by Capt. Sule are interesting and have good twists at the end, that young readers will certainly enjoy. All the stories are told in a simple language and retain an element of anticipation.
The colourful illustrations by Ms. Ishani Sule are very good and professionally done. They certainly enhance and add to the telling of the tale.
My favourite is the story of Lucy Howler.
A good gift to give a child of your acquaintance.

"My Neighbour Lucy" by Captain Suneel Sule is a book with young adults in mind; but after reading it, I enjoyed it so much, that I am sure, readers of all ages would enjoy it. In his enchanting world of short stories that border on fact and fantasy, the author takes us on a tour of different cities, different countries, and different places.....Some stories take place in far away regions, some right in the midst of a club in our city. In this fantasy-land we meet so many characters, who act and speak just like us, but in the course of the story, they somehow get exposed to the 'out-of-this-world' experience, which appears very much believable to the reader in the given context. The author's love of words is apparent and his language is highly inventive. He has a firm grip on believable dialogue. His stories unite the real with the fantastical and turn science into magic. the whole book is a work of intrigue, which, I am sure, many 'older' readers will enjoy as much as I did. I recommend this book to anyone who enjoys good fantasy stories and I for one,can't wait to read his next collection. Leena Sohoni.

कथासंग्रह मस्त आहे. झेब्र्याची गोष्ट खरी घडलेली आहे का? नेबरिंग ल्युसी मध्ये बेअर खर तर त्याच्या नैसर्गिक स्वभावानुसार वागतो पण तरी त्याचं काही वर्णन न करता तो व्हिलन वाटतो. valentina पण आवडली. क्रोकोडाईल टियर पण छानच! क्लोरोफिलची कथा असो वा आणखी , प्रत्येक कथेत काही वेगळ अनुभवायला मिळत. प्रत्येक कथेतलं प्राण्यांचं, जिथे कथा घडते तिथलं, तिकडच्या माणसांचं वर्णन इतकं छान आहे कि डोळ्यासमोर दृश्य उभं राहत. आणि त्यातली चित्र अतिशय चपखल आहेतच. तशीच अतिशय सुबक, देखणी आहेत.
तुमची मुलं सॉलिड लकी आहेत. अशा छान छान गोष्टी लहानपणापासून ऐकताहेत. आणि अजून त्यांना तुमच्याकडून गोष्टी ऐकायला आवडतात त्यात नवल नाही. अभिनंदन! एक चांगलं पुस्तक वाचायला दिल्याबद्दल thanks !

Very well written stories, wonderful blend of animals' existence into human lives. Read the whole book in one go, that's how interesting it was for a 'non-reader'. :-)
