This is a book of stories within a story. Stories of real life heroes, who had succeeded because of what they are made of.
Everyone wants to be successful in life, and everyone wants to know the success formula. Today’s youngsters have the most challenging task of preparing themselves for the highly competitive tomorrow they all will face, sooner or later.
I consider Attitude to one’s Life, one’s Beliefs, the Choices people make and unbending Determination towards one’s goal as the ABCD of Success. Though knowledge, skills, talents, and resources are very important and needed, the more important to success is one’s attitude which is the most difficult area to handle. When one’s attitude is right, other things naturally follow. To succeed, one needs to be more willing than capable in life.
People often mistake one’s appearance, dress, speech, mannerisms, wealth and the likes as one’s personality. In fact, these are mere personality symbols and not personality itself. One’s personality is something more internal than external. A person’s beliefs, hopes, values, vision, and perceptions coupled with one’s fears, guilt, shame, doubts, and apprehensions form the core concept about oneself. This and a set of traits (which are basically response tendencies) that are interwoven and develop around such core concept of oneself together form one’s personality.
In today’s highly complex societies, personality is the most important criterion required to climb the ladder of growth and prosperity. We need to have empowering self-beliefs, perceptions, values and hopes to succeed.
A year before, I did some extensive research on several successful people to know what they did to reach their goals and succeed in their life. Their real life stories were great eye-openers to me even. I developed certain core concepts about what makes one successful and based on those concepts, I developed my fictional short stories that became my Book 1 on Personality Development. A year later, those same real life stories also led me to conceive my Book II on Personality Development, which is now in your hands.
I am sure these real life stories told by me as short stories within a story will appeal to you and motivate you to work towards your success.
I wish all young readers success.
