Yoones Tavoosy discusses how ,in contrast to the minimalist understatement of his contemporary Ernest Hemingway, Faulkner made frequent use of "stream of consciousness" in his writing, and wrote often highly emotional, subtle, cerebral, complex, and sometimes Gothic or grotesque stories of a wide variety of characters including former slaves or descendants of slaves, poor white, agrarian, or working-class Southerners, and Southern aristocrat.

About the Author

Yoones Tavoosy is an Iranian academician with degrees in English language and Literature. He has a wide range of published works around the globe including Iran, India, Spain, Nederland, and the United States.His primary research interest is Language Learning and Literature and he is known for his works on the learning English as a foreign language. He has conducted research projects in Iran in several interdisciplinary fields of study including linguistics, psychology, criminology, sociology, anthropology, and politics. He works currently as a Head Manager of Adult Languages Department at Tehran Institute of Technology and also is a senior lecturer and a research manager in Language Learning Field.
