Harak Banthia is a Chartered Accountant and senior finance professional with over three decades of experience in corporate finance, capital markets, and risk management. He is a rank-holder from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India and a graduate of St. Xavier's College, Kolkata.
His career spans more than sixteen years across international assignments in finance leadership and strategy roles. He currently serves as Chief Financial Officer of a large Indian energy and petrochemicals enterprise, leading treasury, accounting, taxation, and investor-facing functions.
Alongside his corporate career, he has been an active participant in Indian futures and options markets for over two decades. This book distils that practical experience together with the academic rigour of his accounting background.
He lives in New Delhi.
