The Work begins with that simple fact and follows it through the structures that shape a human life: the name, the crowd, attention, discipline, strength, love, ambition, authority and God. It does not offer another doctrine to inherit. It asks the reader to look directly - to distinguish repetition from realization, possession from love, influence from truth, and the idea of awakening from a life actually transformed by it. This is an inquiry into what remains when familiar answers are no longer allowed to close the question.
