Description

Some journeys are never planned… they come straight from the heart.

Nostalgia from My Pen is a simple, heartfelt collection of childhood memories from the 60s–70s — a time when life moved slower, friendships were simpler, and happiness lived in small everyday moments.

Written in an easy, conversational Hinglish style, these are not just stories… they are lived moments.

Moments that gently make you pause and smile:

“Yaad hai…?”

Flying kites without worrying about time
Evenings filled with laughter, not screens
Gali–mohalla life, simple homes, full hearts
A short 30–40 minute read, yet it stays with you much longer.

About the Author

About the author
Ishu Bhalla grew up in Delhi during the 1960s and 70s — a time when life moved slower, friendships were simpler, and everyday moments quietly shaped lasting memories.
He later spent much of his professional life across Delhi, Mumbai, and Chandigarh, working in the corporate world with leading multinational and media organizations.
Nostalgia from My Pen reflects those early years — written not as stories, but as remembered moments from childhood, school days, neighbourhood life, and growing up in Delhi, long before modern technology and constant urgency became part of everyday living.
Ishu believes that some memories — simple and pure — are best shared gently…
with a smile and a cup of chai.
