This was my third book, and I was still learning to write professionally. Working on this edition gave me a chance to freshen up the manuscript. The story, dialogue, and situations are still the same, but it is more polished this time.

Jasveer Singh Dangi is a contemporary author whose voice is shaped by Indian roots and global experiences. His family often describes him as an “accidental author,” as his journey from private journaling to multi-genre storytelling has been organic, unexpected, and deeply personal.
He began writing in 2018, transforming a 200,000‑word childhood journal into his debut memoir, Version One and a Half (Version 1 ½). He lacked formal training or a voracious reading habit; instead, his notebook of memories became the foundation of his literary path—encouraged by his late friend, author Chetan Singh (RIP).
Since 2018, he has authored 15 books and co-authored 2 anthologies, showcasing his versatility across various genres.
In 2023, Jasveer embarked on a new venture in the world of cinema as the producer of the short film ‘Yes Sir’. Centered around the theme of caste bias, the film has garnered widespread acclaim, being showcased at over twenty film festivals across the globe. It earned notable recognition as the third runner-up in the Best Short Film category at the esteemed Dadasaheb Phalke International Film Festival Awards (DPIFF) in 2024.
Jasveer loves the outdoors and is a big movie buff, which is quite evident given the use of quotes and songs from movies at strategic places in all his books. He is an avid observer of his surroundings and uses characters and instances from everyday situations for his stories.
