Description

Indian freedom struggle took place over a long period of 1000 years. More intense struggle was in the last 150 years period to liberate India from British colonial rule as they were destroying every fabric of the nation. The success of the freedom struggle is mainly due to the leaders at the grass root level who were responsible for the mass movement. Their selfless struggle and sacrifice of life for the nation is unimaginable. But the published works have not paid much attention to their invaluable contribution. This is because of two autocratic leaders. However, the truth cannot be hidden forever and more information is now come to the light about many unsung heroes. Part 1 of this book gives briefly contributions made by 23 freedom fighters from Karnataka who sacrificed their life for the independence of India. The list of freedom fighters is a long one and others contributions which is also significant, will be published in Part 2. The main purpose of this book is to remind our people that the prosperity and freedom we enjoy today is mainly due their sacrifice. Hope that reading of this book will make our younger generation more patriotic and contribute their might to nation and make it a glorious nation in the world.
