I still remember. I wanted to learn hacking because I was pretty excited about it. To hack into some of my friend's systems and phones and show them I can do the undoable. My first hands on experience of actual hacking was hacking into a Windows XP vulnerable to ms08_067 vulnerability. That was the first time I got access to another system although it was on the same LAN. But I had so many doubts while doing it practically. Doubts like why we needed to turn off the windows firewall, why there was no antivirus in the target Windows XP, what if we a re on a different LAN and why were we testing it on windows xp when industry has shifted to windows 7 and windows 8 (windows 10 now). The thought that many of the would be ethical hackrs were getting this kind of training is itself worrisome given that they will be protecting some company's networks.
That gave me the idea of Hackercool Magazine and books related to it. This book contains hacking scenarios that you are sure to see in real life. In this book we have given detailed description of some of the Real world hacking scenarios. All the scenarios and labs we created for this book can be replicated in your home computer using any virtualization software. As you will see, you will definitely enjoy it apart from learning some real world ethical hacking.
