A selection of 9 stories, translated by Kalyan Lahiri from the original Bengali by Rajshekhar Basu, writing under the pen-name of Parashuram. The stories include Sri Sri Shiddheswari Ltd., Hanumaner Swapno, Ulat Puran, Birinchibaba and Kochi Sansad. Some of the original illustrations by Jatindra Kumar Sen are reproduced. Tagore's praise of the first published collection, 'Gaddalika' is also included as a translation. The introduction has a brief biography of Rajshekhar Basu.
