This book is in the form of a conversation between a teacher and a disciple. The teacher explains to the disciple what is infinite. He explains how that infinite can be known. The disciple comes to know from the teacher why mind should be subdued, made nil to know the infinite. The teacher tells the disciple how to control the mind, how to deal with rebellious mind which nature is basically childish. Trying to discipline the mind without bothering what it really wishes does not give any result. Moreover it makes the mind even more rebellious and even more difficult to control. Thorough reading of this book would be surely helpful in controlling your mind.
Beyond your body, beyond your mind there is something and that something is you. But all the time you think that you are either the body or the mind or the both. These are false identifications. Coming out of these false identifications is very much important. This book surely does helpful to you in understanding yourself.
To win over our enemy, we have to know about him in full. We have to know about his weaknesses and strength. If we go against our enemy without knowing about him in detail surely result in our defeat. In the same way to win over our mind, we have to know about it in full. If we try to take our mind into our control without understanding its nature, it does not give us positive result.
This book is not exhaustive. Not everything related to the mind discussed in this book. But if this book has been read thoroughly and put into practice it surely does give good result.
