Description

What happens when the guardians of justice become the architects of betrayal?
In Cyclus Vitae: A Theatre of Existence, the stage is set not with actors, but with the painful realities of corrupt authority, isolation, and shattered trust. Through a meticulously structured 17-poem narrative, this chapbook dissects the "theatre" of modern society—a place where cunning jackals usurp thrones and masks conceal true intentions.
The collection takes the reader on a cinematic, four-act journey. It begins with the raw, unapologetic anger of a sudden downfall, plunging into the freezing, suffocating depths of scapegoating and despair. But this is not a tragedy. It is a blueprint for survival. Stripping away the illusions of a broken system, the narrative pivots into a defiant reclamation of power, independence, and accountability.
For anyone who has ever been pushed to the absolute brink by the weight of unfair expectations, Cyclus Vitae is a testament to resilience. It is an exploration of what it takes to survive the darkest frost, only to rise, unapologetically, as a phoenix.

About the Author

Koustav Bhanja Choudhury is an author and undergraduate student pursuing a B.Sc. Honours in Economics with a minor in Computer Science in Kolkata. A former editor for his alma mater's literary magazine, Voyage, and an award-winning researcher in economics, Koustav combines sharp analytical rigor with a profound, stoic observation of human nature.
He applies the same discipline to his writing as he does to his academic and professional ambitions in high finance and management consulting. When he is not modeling econometric data or spearheading social welfare initiatives, he uses poetry to dissect the complex, often chaotic dynamics of society. Cyclus Vitae: A Theatre of Existence is his debut poetry collection, transforming personal adversity into universal philosophy.
